About Southstone.
A building company in north Hampshire, run by Joe Seabright.
01 Who we are
Building work, from the ground up.
Southstone Construction takes on building work from the ground up: groundworks, brick and block work, carpentry, electrics, kitchens and bathrooms.
We work for homes and businesses across Hampshire and the counties around it, on jobs from drives and porches to extensions, lofts, kitchens and bathrooms.
If you have a job in mind, the quickest way to start is a call or a few lines through the enquiry form.
02 The mark
A fixed point to build from.
Our mark is an Ordnance Survey benchmark: a level bar over a broad arrow. Surveyors cut these into the walls of churches, bridges and houses across Britain, each one marking a height measured from the national datum.
On a building site every level is set out from a known point like this. Ours is cut into a dressed stone, its corners chamfered the way a mason finishes a block.
